# humanizer: Humanizer – Rewrite AI-sounding Text

> humanizer (Humanizer – Rewrite AI-sounding Text) is a 1001fx API function in the group AI: POST https://api.1001fx.com/ai/humanizer, 4 credits per 1,000 tokens (minimum 4). It works as a ready-made module in Make or as a plain HTTP call.

Rewrites text that sounds AI-generated so it reads like a person wrote it, in the language of the text and without adding or dropping facts. Checks 26 patterns from Wikipedia's "Signs of AI writing". Written for human readers, not to get past AI detectors. Charged per used tokens: the rules take about 7,400 tokens per call, the text and the rewrite come on top.

- This service is provided by an external service provider: Microsoft Azure OpenAI. The data of the call is sent to the provider. [More about service providers](https://1001fx.com/functions#serviceproviders)

## Parameters

- `text` (string, required) – Text: The text to rewrite, at most 20000 characters. Code, URLs and placeholders such as {{name}} stay unchanged.
- `voiceSample` (string, optional) – Voice sample: Two or three paragraphs of your own writing, at most 5000 characters. The rewrite takes over their rhythm, word choice and punctuation.
- `context` (string, optional) – Context: The conversation the text replies to, at most 5000 characters. The rewrite then leaves out what the reader already knows.
- `model` (enum, optional, one of `gpt-6-luna`, `gpt-6.1-terra`, default `gpt-6-luna`) – Model: gpt-6-luna (default) or gpt-6.1-terra (twice the credits).

## Use cases

- Clean up AI drafts of newsletters and blog posts before they are published
- Remove chatbot leftovers from generated support replies in a Make or n8n scenario
- Rewrite generated product descriptions in the style of your own texts with voiceSample

## Example: Rewrite an announcement

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.1001fx.com/ai/humanizer' \
  -H 'X-API-KEY: YOURSECRETAPIKEY' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"text":"I'\''m thrilled to announce that shared drafts are finally here! For months, our own team was drowning in files named final_v7.docx — and we knew there had to be a better way. It'\''s not just a feature; it'\''s a whole new way of working. Now two people can edit the same doc at once."}'
```

## FAQ

**What do I get back?**

text is the rewrite. patternsFound lists the patterns found in your text, remainingPatterns what still sounded generated in the first draft, and draft holds that draft.

**What does a call cost?**

About 32 credits for a short text: the rules take about 7,400 tokens per call and tokens cost 4 credits per started 1,000. gpt-6.1-terra costs twice as much.

**Does it get text past AI detectors?**

That is not its goal, and detectors may still flag the result. It edits for human readers.
